Tonight, I baked apple crumble for dinner simply for the cozy sounds and smells of it. (And tastes.)
(Answer: It DID taste as good as it looks.)
I didn’t plan on blogging about it, but since it turned out so friggin’ delicious, I thought I simply had to. Now this is tricky because, as anyone who had [...]

I’ve had a few people request the recipe for my caramel sea-salt cookies, which I promised to share and have not so far. :/ Sorry about that, readers. I didn’t mean to tease.

So, the recipe is actually from the New York Times, and was passed along to me by one of my favorite professors from [...]

I have happenedĀ  upon a new favorite hobby.
Me.
My wee studio kitchen where my table doubles as an extra counter top.
Baking (this week, it’s been red velvet cupcakes and caramel-sea salt cookies that are currently in the oven and smell so good that I want to hug/consume the whole oven).

My friend Amanda once told me “I run only so I can eat stupid amounts of pancakes.”
I kind of feel that way about all food (except fish and things with funky textures).
Except I don’t run (unless chased).

It is a flawless late spring day. I spent the majority of today being uber-productive:
I woke up at 8am.
Did yoga.
Circulated two loads of laundry.
Baked blueberry-lemon muffins.
Took a shower.
All before 10am.

Normally, I am maybe half that productive on a full Saturday, but I was on a roll. My mom, Rachel, and Amanda came over, and we [...]

This isn’t anything particularly exciting — just a recipe that I came up with that was extremely delicious, so I wanted to share. (I do have thoughts that I am forming into entries that don’t require you to cook…they are coming. Promise.)
Sauteed Apples with Honey Ricotta
(For one very delightful serving)
1/2 green apple, cored and sliced [...]
