“Caroline Elizabeth” means song of happiness, little and womanly, consecrated to God.
It fits.
I’m a kaleidoscope of energy and optimism, with a dash of maternal instinct and a sprinkle of coffee for good measure. I’m eternally a kid playing grown-up, afflicted with hopeless wanderlust and unquenchable addictions to books, friends, and Mexican food. I like to think of myself as an introvert with extroverted tendencies — labels don’t stick to me very well (especially when I play in water, like in the picture above).
My entire life is oriented around a pursuit of Jesus — sometimes I am pursuing Him, sometimes He is the one pursuing me. But whether I’m running, skipping, dancing or stumbling, He’s next to me always. I am centered around the story that Love is always, always the most important thing, and I’m learning how to be good at giving and receiving it.
Folk music and cupcakes make me happy. I would wear sundresses and bare feet every day, if I could, and grieve the months I must wear socks. I am an auntie-to-be and am SO excited to shower my little niece Addie with love and read her “Goodnight Moon” in French. I have an attachment to the color green, and cannot get a new piece of furniture without having to paint it and make it feel like me. I have a sentimental fondness for trains and I will travel the world before I’d ever waste money on a giant TV. I’m a save-the-earth, love-the-orphans kind of gal and would probably give away most of my money if I didn’t have to do things like pay rent and eat. I don’t like clowns and elevator doors, mostly because I am convinced both will kill me. I think red wine is healthy and so is (fair trade) dark chocolate.
I will always believe what God believes about you: that you are beautifully made and recklessly loved.

Dear Caroline,
You sound like the perfect woman.
Let’s get married.
Deal.
I’m in.
nice blog. i think we would be friends in “real life.”
@ Sabrina:
Isn’t it funny how many blogs you find like that? I like to think of it as having friends who just don’t know we’re friends yet.
So welcome, new friend! And thanks for reading.
yes! i think i found your blog through surfing random tags…pretty ironic because i never expect to find anything good that way, but i have!
Hi Caroline,
I stumbled upon your blog accidentally while I was trying to find more links for my blog. Like the way you captured & documented your walk with the Lord. Am a novice when it comes to blogging, but hope one day, my blog will be something like yours – one where there is substance and authenticity in the writings.
God Bless & drop your comments on my blog, if you do read it
Jeffrey

I am flattered that my blog could be a “goal” for someone! I am still a novice myself and always appreciate those who encourage me in my walk and writing.
I will make sure to stop by your blog — thank you again for dropping by mine!

Caroline
